Doggie Children

Animals

Throughout my life animals, particularly dogs, have played a very important role. As a child, each dog helped reduce my feelings of isolation and loneliness. I truly loved every animal (i.e. dogs, cats, and birds) that shared my life and I believe that they loved me. Without question, they improved my life.

As an adult, my animal family continues to be a major part of my life. Their roles have expanded now to include comforting and listening to me when I am stressed out of my mind. Candy, in particular, is the best psychologist I could have. She has always had an almost magical ability to know when comfort is needed! Each one of my dogs is an individual with special talents, but they all keep me moving and on my feet. They give me purpose beyond myself.

The wild animals in Arnold have opened an entirely new world for me to explore and learn. As a child, I preferred to play with Teddy Bears and now I have the opportunity to observe, photograph, and study three Black Bears that visit my property with regularity. I am also excited to be able to observe the cute antics of a mated pair of Grey Foxes, numerous deer, and one young male in particular that I call, “My Baby Boy.” There are skunks, bunnies, coyotes, raccoons, and squirrels all playing in front of my cameras. I am excited to share my adventures with you!
