Bear and Dog TV

Hi everybody.

It’s me.

Bear.

I have something very important to tell you about.

Mom says it’s called Dog TV, but I think it should just be called Bear TV because I am very good at watching it.

At first, I didn’t understand the big glowing window in the family room. Sometimes it shows people talking, and sometimes it shows loud things that don’t make any sense. When that happens, I usually bring Mom my green ball because clearly the television needs better programming.

But then one day something amazing happened.

The screen filled up with yellow flowers.

And birds.

And running dogs.

And everything moved slowly and peacefully like a giant backyard.

Suddenly, my ears went up.

My tail got a little higher.

And I thought to myself, “Wait a minute… this is a show made for ME.”

Mom explained that dogs see colors differently from humans. We see the world mostly in blues and yellows. That means the people who made Dog TV were very smart, because they filled the screen with things that catch my attention.

Yellow flowers.
Golden grass.
Dogs running across fields.

Basically, the color of snacks and sunshine.

So now when Mom turns it on, I stand very still and watch carefully. I am not just watching for fun. I am also doing important research.

For example:

Are those birds coming closer?
Is that dog running toward my house?
Is there any chance a tennis ball might come out of the screen?

So far, the tennis ball has not appeared, but I remain hopeful.

Mom laughs when she sees me standing there like a little scientist studying nature.

But I am not just watching TV.

I am protecting the house from television birds.

I am supervising the dogs in the meadow.

And I am making sure everything in the glowing window is behaving properly.

It is a very serious responsibility.

But I am happy to do it.

Because making Mom smile is part of my job!

And also because the yellow flowers are really pretty.

Okay.

That is all for now.

I have to go check if the birds came back.

Love,
Bear

A Note from Mom
Watching Bear discover Dog TV was one of those small moments that quietly remind you how fascinating dogs really are. The programs are designed using colors dogs see best, particularly yellows and blues, along with gentle motion and natural scenes.

The result is a golden retriever standing in the middle of the family room, completely absorbed in a field of flowers on a television screen.

It makes me wonder what the world truly looks like through his eyes.

Whatever he is seeing, it clearly brings him joy.

And that brings joy to me.
