I discussed in earlier blogs both Candy’s current health situation and my efforts to train Teddy to walk with me, but I have a very positive update that I’d like to share. First, Teddy is exceeding my expectations in his walking ability. He’s only six months old, and he’s already mastered walking correctly. I guess I should qualify that statement by saying walking correctly by my standards because he’s always walked perfectly by his puppy standards! At any rate, he is a delight to walk with, and as I expose him to more and more social situations, he seems to do very well!
Candy’s health has been a great concern! She is 13 1/2 years old, which puts her in the senior class for Golden retrievers. The Idiopathic Vestibular disease has left her shaky and uncertain of her footing. So, she wobbles a lot and falls. She loves to go on the morning walks with me, but it’s hard on her. So now, with the knowledge that she has a severe heart condition, I decided to search for something that she could ride in and be comfortable and still participate in walks. On Amazon.com, I found a stroller that was big enough so that she could lay down completely or she could sit up and stick her head out the top. You know I ordered it!
The stroller arrived the other day, and we took it for a test run immediately that evening. At first, I think Candy was quite frightened because we didn’t allow her enough time to explore the stroller and become comfortable with it. We don’t want to stress her out because of her heart, but nevertheless, we did take her on a stroller ride that evening. The subsequent stroller rides have been very successful, and she is much more comfortable with the purpose of the stroller. Now Candy can walk or ride and participate fully in family adventures. Teddy seems to want to get in the stroller with her, which is funny. Candy was afraid to get in it, and Teddy can’t wait to get in the stroller. Anyway, we are walking in the morning and the evening together, and I’m loving it! Once I can find someone to take a picture of the four of us together, I will do so.
I am looking forward to our future adventures together!

I’ve been surfing online more than 4 hours today, yet
I never found any interesting article like yours. It
is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all web
owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more
useful than ever before.
Thank you so much!
Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this,
like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive
the message home a bit, but other than that, this
is wonderful blog. An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
I go to see everyday a few web sites and blogs to read articles,
except this web site provides feature based posts.
Aw, this was an exceptionally nice post. Spending
some time and actual effort to make a top notch article… but what can I say… I put things off a whole
lot and don’t seem to get anything done.
Good info. Lucky me I ran across your site by accident (stumbleupon).
I have saved as a favorite for later!
