And some years it arrives softly, almost hesitant, as if it’s not quite sure it’s welcome.
A Christmas that allows us to be thoughtful instead of festive. Reflective instead of busy. Present instead of polished.
Maybe sometimes it’s about noticing what’s already here.
A familiar presence curled nearby.
A memory that visits quietly and leaves behind both ache and gratitude.
I’m letting it come to me, slowly, gently, in its own way.
