This October, it will be two years since my back injury. After all the weekly chiropractic adjustments and therapy, I have progressed from being unable to walk to walking with a cane and finally no longer need the cane. Combining the recovery with the COVID quarantine and becoming a home cook, I need a personal trainer.
Bear came home less than a week ago, and he has been my trainer ever since. He is a golden retriever puppy, and he is full of energy. Bear is too young to take for walks in the park, so he rides in a stroller when we take Teddy. I am working on building upper body strength and strengthening my legs and back with this exercise.
Bear runs around the house and backyard in full zoomie mode. I must keep up with him, so I am building my speed and distance with this aerobic exercise. I am getting more steps!
Bear makes sure that I touch my toes and practice squats, trying to figure out what he has in his little mouth and what toy might be interesting next. Thanks to Bear, I now have to stay active!
I am progressing, feeling better, and having fun, thanks to Bear. Bear will continue to be a great personal trainer for many years. Thanks, Bear!
We didn’t adopt Bear because I needed a trainer. We wanted to add to our family, and Teddy is perfect for us. Dogs have this unique ability to become whatever we need, and Teddy nailed it. I wanted to adopt a dog from Teddy’s family. So I again reached out to Laura Finco, Argus Golden Retrievers. We adopted Teddy from Laura, and Bear is Teddy’s nephew.
Jim and I benefit from living with Dr. Teddy and the Bear. They fulfill so many needs, and we love them so much!
