Early Morning Visitor

Reviewing my remote cameras, I realized that one morning I was visited once again by an extraordinarily beautiful bear. The cinnamon-colored bear returned and was feasting on the berries in front of our house. I believe this is a male bear because of his size and his solitary behavior.

The berries must be delicious!

The two pictures below were taken last year after his first visit. The cinnamon bear is quite large, but I really have no idea what his accurate weight and size might be, so I thought I’d try to set up a size comparison. I asked my husband to take a photo of Teddy and me in the same location. When the bear is standing on its hind legs, I think it is taller than I am.

Teddy and I in the same location as the cinnamon bear.
The bear is definitely a chunky guy!

I included the video because I wanted you to hear the rustling of the leaves and the munching of the bear as he eats his berries. I am so lucky to have this incredible opportunity to observe and peacefully coexist with these wild animals.

Below is my video of the cinnamon bear’s first visit (11 months ago). You can really see how robust this bear is.

I hope to have more photos of my beautiful bears to share.
