Delicious Strawberry Smoothie

I don’t know about you, but it always seems like fruits and vegetables become overly ripe before I can use them completely, so I start looking for recipes. Because it’s been so hot in my area, I’ve been looking for recipes that were cold and comforting and delicious. I found one!

B and L’s Strawberry Smoothie (found by asking Alexa for Strawberry Smoothie Recipes)

Note: I personalized the original recipe a little bit, and I’ll indicate where. My changes added calories, but you can modify this simple recipe to meet your needs and taste.

Ingredients:

  • Eight strawberries (I used ten), hulled
  • Half a cup skim milk (I used 2% milk)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (I used vanilla ice cream the second time I made this smoothie, and I prefer the ice cream)
  • Three tablespoons of sugar
  • Two teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • Six ice cubes crushed

Combine in a blender the strawberries, milk, yogurt or ice cream, sugar, and vanilla.

Add the ice.

Blend until smooth and creamy.
Pour into glasses and serve
