Teddy, my handsome little boy, is eleven months old now, and a rebellious adolescent. He likes to push his limits. But I am still in control. Right?? National Outreach, I’ll survive this period if I provide plenty of exercise, and hang on to my sense of humor. Teddy will outgrow adolescence!

I remember the moment my family and I first laid eyes on Teddy. Laura Finco, my friend and the breeder/owner of Argus Golden Retrievers, carried in Teddy into the room to meet us, and we were immediately and utterly in love!
Even though Teddy was small and floppy, just like a toy Teddy bear, he was already honing his superpower skills. His plan for total domination was in full swing, and those sweet little innocent puppy eyes had everyone under his hypnotic control!
I worried about Teddy the first few months because of the lack of stability. While repairs were occurring on our home in Tracy, we were moving between the Extended Stay America Hotel in Tracy and the home in Arnold. But Teddy’s happy disposition helped him to make friends everywhere, and each new friend seemed to provide growth and socialization. Teddy was learning how to handle new experiences, people, places, and things. He was a superhero!
Teddy loved all of the road trips, and quickly assumed the co-pilot position. After such responsibility, even superheroes enjoy a dip in the pool.
At 11 months, Teddy is in perpetual motion, and when not in superhero canine mode, he is a power chewing machine. I have learned that even after losing his baby teeth, he still needs to chew on something constantly. I’ve tried to intercept the inappropriate item/items he wants to chew on, but my success rate sucks!
This lovable happy little Golden Retriever puppy is in total control! Just yesterday, Teddy was a sweet little puppy in our arms, and today he is our fearless canine superhero.
