Ask Dr. Teddy Friday – Tips to Help Mom and Dad De-Stress

Nobody likes feeling stressed out, but sometimes it can be hard to find ways to relax. As the resident pet expert in the house, I’m here with some tips to help Mom and Dad de-stress!

"Put your phone down, Dad, and play with me."
Take a Break From Technology

This one might be hard to do, but it can make all the difference. Put down your phones, laptops, and tablets, and take a few minutes away from the constant buzz of digital devices. Instead, try using this time to do something calming, like walking or reading a book.

Spend Time With Family

It’s essential to take some time out of your day to spend with the family. Quality time spent together can be a great way for Mom and Dad to de-stress! Whether playing board games, going on an outing, or just sitting around chatting, these shared moments can help take their minds off any stressors they may have.

Exercise

Sometimes, exercise is just what the doctor orders to de-stress. Exercise can help release endorphins to make you feel better and reduce stress. It doesn’t have to be a strenuous workout – something as simple as taking me for a walk or doing some yoga can work wonders!

Laugh A Little

Laughter is the best medicine! Watching a comedy movie, playing with me, or sharing funny stories can help Mom and Dad relax.  With these tips, I’m sure Mom and Dad will feel stress-free in no time. Now let’s have some fun! 🐶

Talk It Out

Talking it out can be the best way for Mom and Dad to de-stress when all else fails. They need to vent their feelings and get things off their chest to have a clear mind. If they need an extra ear, I’m always here for them! 🐾

Take Time For Yourself

Mom and Dad should make sure to take time for themselves and do something that will make them happy. Whether getting a massage, taking a hot bubble bath, or spending quality time with me, having “me” time can help reduce stress levels significantly.

These are my best tips for helping Mom and Dad de-stress! I hope they find these useful in their journey to relaxation. 🐾
