Running Like The Wind

I have some more exciting photos from my backyard field camera. These photos are of Teddy and Summer running. I have always thought the canine body is beautiful when stretched out during a fully engaged run.

Not all dogs can accelerate rapidly, but sporting and hunting breeds sure can. Golden retrievers are natural athletes and run like the wind.

I didn’t expect to capture such great photos of Teddy and Summer almost flying, but this is a perfect example of the fun you can have right in your backyard with a field camera.

In this photo, Teddy's movement resembles a horse's gallop. The front feet are tucked and raised off of the ground. The back feet are firmly placed for balance and acceleration.
Teddy's back feet are still balanced and firmly placed for acceleration. The front feet are reaching for speed.
Wow, look at the strength in Summer's back legs.
Look at Summer fly! All of her feet are in the air at the same time.
Teddy is running to his pool in the morning.
Notice his back feet are tucking and preparing to hit the ground again. All dogs run on their toes. Making them capable of swift movements and turns whether they are running to their favorite pool or not.

I hope you found these photos both fun and interesting. Both Teddy and Summer were having so much fun. The true joy of motion. The field camera captured all of this high-speed action as single photos.
