There is one very special doggy that I haven’t introduced to you yet, and that is Scrappy. Scrappy is the leader of our pack! He is my grand dog, and even though he has a little body, he has a gigantic personality!
Candy and Brandy were only six months, old Scrappy entered their lives, and he immediately took charge, and they wholeheartedly excepted his leadership. Especially Candy, she’s always been a little timid, and even though she towered over him, she would follow him around. If she was fearful, she’d get behind him. Scrappy has always been so brave! Candy and Brandy both trusted Scrappy to protect them. Any unknown danger and his little tail would go straight up, and the short hairs on his butt also stood straight up. Then he would run around barking ferociously at the unknown threat. Still does that today.
When I had the opportunity to babysit Scrappy, we would have great adventures in the backyard. Our backyard magically transformed into Sherwood forest, and Scrappy became Sir Barks A Lot, Candy became Maid Candy, and Brandy became Little Brandy. A play on the story of Robin Hood, Maid Marian, and Littlejohn. I think I was the Sheriff of Nottingham because I was chasing them around. It was so much fun, and I would document the whole thing in photos and videos to send to Scrappy’s mom and dad.
Scrappy is one smart little dude! He has a sharp memory and remembers where grandma keeps all of his toys.
Scrappy is also a traveling man and loves his rides in the car.
Scrappy was and still is a perfect puppy, but his mom and dad were curious early on about his genetic makeup? So, they tested his DNA and learned that Scrappy’s mom and dad were a dashhound and Yorkshire Terrier. Both breeds possess a healthy amount of courage and self-confidence. Both kinds are typically loyal to one person.
I am so lucky that this rascally little guy(oops, Superhero big guy) is here to save the day! I love you Scrappy!
