My family and I celebrate Christmas, but many friends, co-workers, neighbors, and you, my followers, do not.
Christmas is a beautiful holiday celebrated by millions of people worldwide. Christmas is a Christian holiday celebrating Jesus Christ’s birth. It is celebrated on December 25th each year. It has deep religious and cultural roots, Santa Claus, and brings together families, friends, and loved ones on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day to share festive meals, exchange presents, and enjoy each other’s company.
December, however, is a significant month for many religions, with multiple holidays occurring during this time. So I choose to say “Happy Holidays” instead of saying more specific greetings like “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Hanukkah.” Not only does the phrase Happy Holidays show respect to those celebrating holidays other than Christmas, but it can apply to any holiday season celebration and allow everyone to join in on the cheer.
By spreading good wishes and kind words, we can ensure everyone feels included in the season of giving and joy. So please consider joining me in wishing others Happy Holidays! They will appreciate your kind gesture.
