Old Fashion Chocolate Chip Cookies

Most children and adults love chocolate chip cookies. We all have fond memories of them, whether the ones our mothers or grandmothers made for us or those we sneakily grabbed from the cookie jar while no one was looking! Old Fashion Chocolate Chip Cookies

I found a recipe for Old Fashion Chocolate Chip Cookies on the back of a package of Costco’s Kirkland brand Signature Chocolate Chips. The cookies are delicious, and I wanted to share the recipe with you.

Old Fashion Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 of a cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 AA large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 a teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Kirkland signature chocolate chips
  • optional 1 cup chopped nuts
Steps:
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Combine butter sugar and brown sugar in a medium size bowl. Blend with a mixer until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly with an electric mixer at medium speed. Add baking soda and salt. Slowly add flour until thoroughly blended. Fold in Kirkland’s signature chocolate chips and chop nuts with a spatula.
  3. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes or desired doneness.
  4. It yields about 45 cookies.
