Tiny Ninja Warriors

I am sorry to say that I haven’t paid enough attention to the smaller animals in the area; instead, I was putting all of my energies into waiting for the large predators. Numerous smaller animals seem to be everywhere right now! Squirrels in particular. Squirrels are rodents, and their personalities are a combination of clown and Ninja Warrior. They have superior analytical and athletic abilities, and they outsmart humans regularly! I love it!

All of my cameras are capturing photos of squirrels. They are everywhere. After checking Wikipedia, my squirrels appear to be Gray squirrels. The family of Gray squirrels can have different shades of fur. Some are even black or pure white.

I see them both on the ground and in the trees. They’re jumping and dashing around everywhere. I learned that squirrels are adept jumpers and always land on their feet like cats.

A squirrel has a brain about the size of a walnut, but it is capable of incredible strategic reasoning to achieve its goals. They easily outsmart all human efforts to prevent them from reaching bird seed feeders.

“Squirrels eat nuts, seeds, and fruit. And they also eat corn and sometimes bugs. They need about a pound of food per week.
Instead of hibernating, tree squirrels stay in their nest for days–sometimes sharing it with other squirrels for warmth–during storms and freezing weather.”

The squirrel’s teeth are particularly sharp and, apparently, never stop growing. Remember my little Pumpkin eaters? They were able to tackle tough pumpkins in no time at all.

Note: Both of the photos below were taken using my original field camera. The field cameras that I am using today have more features.
